December Meeting (December 7th):  Christmas Party. Bring a dish to share and your tools. #0 Round Reed will be available along with patterns for Christmas ornaments. Also bring your "Basketry 4 In a Row" sheets. The Grand Prize Winner will be drawn during the party. If you can't attend, mail your completed sheet to June Hersey at 16092 Kline Young Road, Stewartstown, PA. Sheet should arrive before December 1st.

Guests are always welcome. Meeting starts at 1:00 p.m. at the Izaak Walton League Lodge, Abingdon, MD. Come see what we are all about!

2009 -- the Guild celebrates its 20th Anniversary, plan on joining us now to help celebrate this special year in the history of Deer Creek Basketry Guild!

The Deer Creek Basketry Guild offers non-members beginner workshops, both Adult and Junior (ages 10-18).  If you are interested please contact us for more information and to get on a mailing list.

  • Annual Fundraiser, 2009 Basket Bingo, to be held March 28, 2009. Get your tickets early! All prizes are handcrafted baskets made by Guild Members.
  • Monthly meetings, generally held the 1st Sunday of each month (unless conflicts with a holiday). See the Calendar of Events for dates and time. Events held at the Izaak Walton League Lodge, 3518 Woodsdale Road, Abingdon, MD. (Just 1 mile from I-95.)
